- Police recovered a stolen vehicle at the 2100 block of Melrose Friday morning.
According to a report, the car was stolen from a rental lot in Franklin Park, Ill., during the month of February.
No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
- A 52-year-old woman reported damage to her property at the 1500 block of Kiler.
According to a police report, the tires on the woman's car were slashed and the offender also broke her windows and put a dent in a door.
No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
- A 17-year-old boy was arrested at the 600 block of west White Street late Thursday night.
According to a police report, the boy threw rocks at a 32-year-old woman and a 35-year-old woman when they asked him to stop cursing.
- A 20-year-old man and a 28-year-old man were issued notices to appear for trespassing at the 1100 block of Dorsey.
According to a police report, the men were loitering at Joanne Dorsey Homes in Champaign.
No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
- A 10-year-old boy and a 9-year-old boy were detained at Wal-Mart, 100 S. High Cross Road, for retail theft Friday evening.
According to a police report, the boys were observed opening and concealing a Nintendo DS video games and 2 collectible cards each. The boys were released to their parents by store employees.
- A 22-year-old man reported his home at the 400 block of west High had been burglarized Friday night.
According to a police report, an unknown offender cut a window screen to enter the apartment. The victim's wallet, two forms of ID, a digital camera, a laptop and a cell phone charger were taken.
No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
- O'Brien Auto Park, 104 E. University Ave., reported theft Thursday night.
According to a police report, the business found 16 vehicle registration stickers and 13 new license plates missing from their inventory of vehicles.
No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
- Murphy USA, 110 S. High Cross Road, reported theft Friday afternoon.
According to a police report, an unknown offender pumped $20.02 in gasoline and left without paying, driving northbound on Route 130.
- More than $300 in jewelry was taken from the home of a 36-year-old woman at the 2700 block of Summit Thursday evening.
According to a police report, an unknown offender took a gold engagement ring, two gold wedding bands, a gold necklace and a larimar bracelet.
No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
- A 21-year-old woman was arrested for filing a false police report at the 800 block of Harvey early Friday morning.
According to a police report, the offender was intoxicated and reported she was hit by a car and had been injured. She changed her story several time and ultimately admitted to hospital staff and police officers she just wanted to receive medical treatment.
